“I KNEW A PLANE WOULD TAKE HER FROM ME”: MOTHER’S HEARTBREAKING WORDS AFTER 21-YEAR-OLD COPILOT DIES IN FLORIDA CRASH

Camila said she had always feared losing her daughter in an aviation accident, but nothing could diminish her pride in the young woman who had worked so hard to achieve her dream of becoming a commercial pilot.

A mother is grieving the loss of her daughter after a Learjet 60 crashed in Palm Beach County, Florida, taking the life of 21-year-old copilot Nathalia.

In an emotional interview with the New York Post, Nathalia’s mother, Camila, recalled the fear she had carried for years — that one day, flying might take her daughter away.

“I knew a plane would take her from me. I always knew,” Camila said. “But I was so proud of her. I know she was living her dream.”

Although the thought of an aviation accident had always frightened her, Camila never stopped supporting her daughter’s ambitions. Nathalia had worked hard to build a career in aviation, turning a childhood dream into reality.

According to Nathalia’s stepfather, 44-year-old Thiago Corteleti, she was still communicating with loved ones shortly before the aircraft went down.

Corteleti told the New York Post that Nathalia had sent a message to her boyfriend at approximately 12:40 p.m. — around 10 minutes before the crash.

“She just said: ‘I have turbulence, I have ice,’” he recalled.

The brief message has become an especially painful detail for her family, who are now trying to comprehend how quickly everything changed.

Nathalia was expected to celebrate her 21st birthday in January.

Despite her young age, she had already accomplished significant milestones in aviation. She attended flight school, went on to work as a flight instructor and eventually began her career as a commercial pilot.

Her family said she had accumulated approximately 1,300 flight hours and had been working as a commercial pilot for nine months.

For those who knew her, she was not simply a young woman with a job in aviation. She was someone who had devoted years of effort to reaching the cockpit and pursuing the life she wanted.

THE CREW REPORTED ICE AND TURBULENCE BEFORE THE FINAL DISTRESS CALL

Air traffic control recordings captured the crew reporting icing conditions and moderate turbulence before issuing a mayday call.

In the final moments, the crew reportedly said the aircraft was descending uncontrollably and that they were going to crash into the ground.

One of the last transmissions was chillingly brief:

“We’re out of time.”

The recordings offer a glimpse into the frightening moments before the crash, while investigators continue examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.

A MOTHER LEFT WITH PRIDE, GRIEF AND UNANSWERED QUESTIONS

For Camila, the loss is especially devastating because the danger she had feared for so long has become a reality.

Yet even through her heartbreak, her words reveal how proud she was of her daughter.

Nathalia had reached a goal that mattered deeply to her. She had trained, gained experience and begun building the career she dreamed of.

Now, her family is left with memories of a young woman whose life was filled with ambition and promise.

She was only 21.

Rest in peace, Nathalia. You were living the dream you worked so hard to achieve, and your family will forever remember how far you had come.
