HEARTBREAKING: A 6-MONTH-OLD BABY GIRL CONTRACTS HERPES VIRUS DESPITE STRICT “NO KISSING” RULE

The herpes virus affected a baby girl, causing widespread skin issues, especially on her head, face, and even in her left eye.

Recently, a mother raised concern after her 6-month-old daughter, Oarazaki, from Dundee, England, had to be rushed to the hospital with blisters appearing across her head and face due to a herpes virus infection.

Although the baby’s mother, Hollie (21), is very cautious—except for a single kiss on the forehead when Oarazaki was born and forbidding everyone, including herself, from kissing her—the child still contracted the herpes virus, leading to widespread skin irritation, especially on her head, face, and even in her left eye.

Hollie said, “From the moment I was pregnant, I learned about the possibility of babies getting cold sores from kisses, based on what I heard from another mother. Therefore, I didn’t allow anyone, including myself, to kiss Oarlah. Despite everyone’s objections, even thinking I was overprotective, I accepted it and tried to protect my child in every way possible. But in the end, my daughter still contracted that serious virus.

When I saw the sores, I was extremely worried. My only thought was that she might lose her vision. So, my husband and I rushed Oarlah to the hospital.”

At the hospital, the parents were so worried they couldn’t sit still while the doctors performed the tests. Fortunately, the test results showed that Oarlah’s eyesight was unaffected and the swelling on her face would reduce after 24 hours.

The mother shared: “It’s unfortunate that my child had this problem, but we still feel lucky that Oarlah recovered. I thought that simply preventing others from kissing her would protect her, but the doctor said the herpes virus can be transmitted through hands.”
