After Years in Confinement, 150 More Beagles Step Into Freedom

For 150 beagles, Day 2 of the Ridglan Rescue was nothing short of a miracle. After spending years inside cages at a laboratory facility in Wisconsin, these gentle dogs finally felt sunlight, grass beneath their paws, and human touch for the first time in their lives.

The scenes were both heartbreaking and inspiring. Some beagles cautiously explored their new surroundings, unsure what to make of this strange new world. Others ran freely, tails wagging, as if discovering life itself for the first time. For many volunteers and advocates witnessing these moments, it was impossible to hold back tears.

Heroes for the Voiceless

This historic rescue has drawn attention far and wide. Debbie Gibson and Geezer Butler lent their voices to the cause, standing up for the animals who could not speak for themselves. Behind every rescued dog are countless volunteers, patiently welcoming frightened beagles with gentle care, love, and reassurance.

“These dogs have never known kindness like this,” said one volunteer. “Every sniff, every wagging tail, every leap across the grass is a reminder of why we fight for them.”

Halfway to Freedom

Day 2 marks the halfway point of the Ridglan Release, but the mission is far from complete. Hundreds of beagles remain inside the facility, waiting for their turn to experience the freedom that their fellow dogs have finally begun to enjoy. Advocates, volunteers, and supporters nationwide are keeping a close eye on the rescue, hoping that each remaining dog will soon know love, safety, and joy.

As the team prepares for Day 3, the focus remains on compassion, safety, and giving every dog a second chance at life. The Ridglan Rescue is more than an operation—it is a testament to hope, human kindness, and the power of collective action.

For now, we celebrate the 150 beagles who have just begun their journey to freedom… and pray that soon, every dog at Ridglan Farms will feel the warmth of love and the joy of grass beneath their paws.
