According to the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, game wardens led an exhaustive search involving numerous state and local agencies.

Boat Operator Arrested on BUI Charge

During the initial response to Kinney’s disappearance, Kentucky State Police arrested 23-year-old Cameron P. Conley, the operator of the pontoon boat.

Investigators reported that Conley showed signs of intoxication, including bloodshot eyes and the odor of alcohol. Authorities say he admitted to drinking before operating the boat and later failed a breathalyzer test, resulting in a charge of operating a boat while under the influence.

At this time, officials have emphasized that Conley has not been charged in connection with Kinney’s death. His current charge relates solely to boating under the influence, and investigators have not announced any additional criminal charges.
