A family’s world was shattered in a matter of moments after a six-year-old boy suffered devastating injuries during a tragic incident involving two family dogs.

Little Romel Frazier Jr. had simply been outside playing like any normal child when the attack happened on Thursday, March 19.

Within minutes, what began as an ordinary day turned into every parent’s nightmare.

According to relatives, the youngster sustained catastrophic injuries and lost both of his arms during the incident. He was rushed to hospital, where he remains in intensive care undergoing multiple surgeries as doctors work tirelessly to stabilize him and prevent further complications.

Family members say the brave little boy is currently fighting infection while facing an incredibly difficult road to recovery.

“Our lives changed in a matter of minutes,” the family shared in an emotional statement. “Romel was just outside being a happy six-year-old boy.”

Since the tragedy, loved ones have remained by his bedside as he continues receiving round-the-clock medical care.

Despite the unimaginable trauma, relatives say Romel has already shown incredible courage throughout the painful procedures and ongoing treatment.

“He is fighting so hard,” one family member said. “We are taking things one moment at a time and praying for strength every single day.”

The heartbreaking incident has left many people online emotional, with messages of support and prayers pouring in for the young boy and his family.

Doctors are continuing to monitor Romel closely as he undergoes further surgeries in the ICU. While the road ahead will be long, his loved ones say they are determined to stand beside him through every challenge still to come.
