Two young sisters have captured hearts online after an emotional photo showed them sitting side by side in a hospital bed during one family’s difficult fight against childhood cancer.

Eight-year-old Emily Carter has been undergoing treatment after being diagnosed with a rare form of pediatric cancer earlier this year. Beside her throughout the exhausting hospital stays has been her six-year-old sister, Lily — refusing to leave her side even during the hardest days.
