This is the heart-stopping moment a rampaging cow chased down a young child before knocking him to the ground and attacking him with its horns in a narrow street in India.

CCTV footage captured the horrifying incident in the Tughlakabad area of New Delhi last Friday. The cow can be seen aggressively pursuing the screaming boy, pushing him down, and repeatedly jabbing him with its horns. The child’s sliders flew off during the chaotic attack.

Heroic locals, alerted by the boy’s cries, rushed to the scene. One brave man grabbed one of the discarded sliders and slammed it on the ground to try to scare the animal away. He then quickly scooped up the injured child and fled with help from others.

However, the situation escalated further when a second cow joined the chase. The rescuer stumbled while carrying the boy but heroically used his own body to shield the child from the charging animals. A second man eventually stepped in and helped drive the cows away.

Authorities later captured both cows and relocated them to a goshala (a shelter for stray cows) in Delhi’s Rewla Khanpur area. The child sustained injuries but is reported to be recovering.

According to local reports, the boy was simply playing in the lane when the stray cow suddenly attacked. Officials have noted a rise in stray cattle in the area due to illegal dairies.
