The resilient dog Garfield survived a car crash and is now waiting for a family.

Garfield survived being hit by a car… but he’s still waiting for someone to say, “You’ll come home with me.”

We don’t know how long this little dog had been living alone before things changed. All we know is that after being hit by a car, he was taken to a rescue center and desperately needed someone to help save his life.

Our first thing was to do a full body X-ray and blood tests to make sure we understood exactly what his body had gone through. Then he needed dental care and spaying/neutering. Thankfully, Garfield is now safe, recovering, and finally receiving the medical care he should have received long ago.

And through it all, Garfield remains the sweetest little dog. His favorite place is curled up in your lap, enjoying all the love he can get. He absolutely loves being kissed and being close to his people.

Like many dogs who have gone through difficult experiences, Garfield has a few quirks. He doesn’t like being picked up, and we’re currently treating one of his eyes with eye drops. Giving him the drops is difficult because he prefers being cuddled to sitting still while we put them in!
