Family demands answers after 6-year-old girl dies following hours left forgotten on daycare bus.

6-Year-Old Winter Jones Dies After Allegedly Being Left on Daycare Bus in Extreme Heat
A Tennessee family is demanding answers after their 6-year-old daughter, Winter Jones, died after reportedly being left inside a daycare bus for several hours during dangerously hot weather.
According to the family, Winter was being transported to Kid University when she was allegedly left on the bus after the vehicle returned to the daycare.
When Winter was eventually discovered, she was unconscious. She was rushed to a hospital, but doctors were unable to save her.

Winter’s father said his daughter’s internal body temperature had reached approximately 109°F (42.8°C), while the outdoor temperature was around 97°F (36.1°C).
The devastating circumstances have left Winter’s family demanding to know how she could have remained on the vehicle for so long without being discovered.
Questions are also being raised about the daycare’s procedures for checking buses after children are dropped off, as well as whether appropriate safety protocols were followed that day.
Multiple agencies are involved in the investigation, including the Memphis Police Department, the Tennessee Department of Human Services, and the Department of Children’s Services.
Authorities are working to determine exactly what happened between the time Winter was transported and when she was discovered inside the vehicle.

At this time, no criminal charges have been announced. Investigators will need to establish the circumstances and determine whether any laws were violated before potential charges can be considered.
For Winter’s family, the investigation is about more than determining responsibility. They are seeking answers about why their little girl was not found after the bus returned to the daycare.
Her death has also renewed concerns about the dangers of leaving children inside vehicles during hot weather, where temperatures can rise rapidly even when the outside temperature may already be dangerously high.
Winter’s family is now left grieving the loss of a 6-year-old girl while awaiting answers from the ongoing investigation.
