7-Year-Old Cincinnati Boy Found Dead in Closet; Autopsy Reveals Multiple Injuries
A heartbreaking investigation is underway in Cincinnati, Ohio, after 7-year-old William Michael Evans-Ellis was found dead under deeply disturbing circumstances.
Police discovered William’s body on August 6, 2026. Authorities said the boy had been bound with duct tape and hidden inside a closet at the residence.
On August 11, Hamilton County Coroner Dr. Lakshmi Sammarco announced that William’s cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head.

The medical examination also reportedly revealed numerous additional injuries, including a broken arm and bruises that appeared to have been sustained at different times. The findings have raised serious concerns about possible prolonged abuse before the child’s death.
William’s mother and two housemates have been charged in connection with the case. All three defendants have pleaded not guilty in court.
The allegations against the defendants have not been proven, and they remain presumed innocent unless found guilty through the legal process.

Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding William’s death, including the injuries documented during the autopsy and what happened inside the home before police discovered him.
