LINDSAY CLANCY’S PARENTS RAISE NEARLY $700,000 AS DAUGHTER STANDS TRIAL IN DEATHS OF THREE CHILDREN
DUXBURY, MASSACHUSETTS — A GoFundMe campaign established for the parents of Lindsay Clancy has raised nearly $700,000 as they continue to stand by their daughter during her closely watched Massachusetts murder trial.
Mike and Paula Musgrove have spent more than three years supporting Clancy since the January 2023 deaths of her three young children: 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan.
According to the fundraiser, the couple moved from their Connecticut home to Massachusetts so they could remain close to their daughter and attend her court proceedings.
A FAMILY’S FINANCIAL STRAIN
The fundraiser says Paula is retired while Mike works as a photographer. It claims the couple has spent savings accumulated over decades on travel, lodging, living expenses and other costs associated with remaining near Clancy throughout the criminal proceedings.
Organizers say the campaign is not intended to express a position on Clancy’s guilt, the allegations against her or the outcome of the trial.
Instead, the stated goal is to help Mike and Paula recover from the financial burden of putting much of their lives on hold while supporting their daughter.
The fundraiser lists the Musgroves as the beneficiaries and says they will determine how the money is used.
“THEY HAVE NOT WALKED AWAY”
The campaign describes the couple’s decision to remain beside their daughter as an expression of parental love.
It says they have continued supporting Clancy despite the allegations and the devastating circumstances surrounding the case.
Clancy’s attorney, Kevin Reddington, is also reportedly aware of the fundraiser.
The campaign comes as Clancy’s defense continues to focus heavily on her mental state before the deaths of her children.
THE CASE IN COURT
Clancy is accused of killing her three children at the family’s Duxbury home in January 2023.
The prosecution has presented evidence concerning the children’s deaths, while the defense has called witnesses who have described Clancy’s deteriorating mental health, including testimony concerning depression, psychosis, hallucinations and suicidal thoughts.
Clancy has pleaded not guilty.
Her defense has argued that her mental state is central to understanding what happened, while prosecutors continue to pursue the criminal charges against her.
A FUNDRAISER AMID A HIGH-PROFILE TRIAL
The nearly $700,000 raised for Mike and Paula Musgrove reflects the extraordinary financial and emotional strain the family says it has experienced during the case.
The fundraiser emphasizes that when the trial eventually ends, the Musgroves will still have to rebuild their lives after years spent traveling, attending court and remaining close to their daughter.
“Whatever that outcome is,” the fundraiser says, Mike and Paula will still have to pick up the pieces of the lives they have put on hold to be there for their daughter.
For the Musgroves, the trial is not only a criminal proceeding—it has become a years-long family ordeal that has consumed their time, finances and future plans.
