NANCY GUTHRIE CASE: HUMAN REMAINS FOUND 15 MILES AWAY — BUT POLICE SAY THEY ARE NOT CONNECTED

A disturbing discovery near Tucson has once again drawn attention to the disappearance of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie.

Human remains were recently discovered in a remote desert area near West Ajo Way and South La Cholla Boulevard, approximately 15 miles from Nancy’s home.

Naturally, the discovery raised a heartbreaking question:

COULD THIS FINALLY BE A CLUE TO NANCY’S DISAPPEARANCE?

Authorities say there is currently no indication that the remains are connected to Nancy’s case.

Investigators also said the remains appeared to have been at the location for an extended period of time. Their identity and circumstances remain part of a separate investigation.

BUT NANCY’S CASE STILL HAS NO ANSWER

Nancy disappeared from her Tucson-area home on January 31 and was reported missing the following day.

Investigators have continued treating the case as an apparent abduction while searching for evidence that could reveal who took her and what happened afterward.

Earlier this month, authorities released two alleged ransom notes sent to a local media outlet after Nancy disappeared.

One demanded payment, while another claimed Nancy had died.

But authorities have not independently confirmed the claim about her fate.

THE NOTES MAY HOLD ANOTHER CLUE

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said the messages contain distinctive patterns in word choice, syntax and writing style.

Investigators are hoping someone who recognizes the writer’s language or phrasing will come forward with information.

That makes the public appeal especially important.

Someone may recognize the way the writer communicates.

Someone may recognize a phrase.

And one small recognition could potentially help investigators identify the person behind the messages.

HUMAN REMAINS WERE FOUND.
