Motorcycle Influencer Ceyda Yakova, 22, Dies After Horror Crash: Reports

Ceyda Yakova, a Turkish motorcycle influencer, died on Aug. 17 after she was reportedly involved in a horrific motorcycle crash. She was 22.
Her death was confirmed in an Aug. 18 Instagram post by Istanbul Bilgi University, a school she attended.
The content creator crashed into a road sign while on a ride in Şile, a coastal resort town in Turkey, reported Turkish outlets Sözcü and Cumhuriyet.

Per Sözcü, the crash occurred around 5 p.m. on Aug. 17. Yakova was leaving town after visiting a friend who lives in Şile, the outlet reported, when her wheel got stuck in the gravel at a bend in the road and she collided with a road sign. She was treated by first responders at the scene and was taken to a local hospital, reported Sözcü.
Yakova was later transferred to another hospital, where doctors determined she had suffered internal bleeding, and she died shortly after, per Sözcü.

In helmet footage of the incident obtained by Sözcü, Yakova’s vehicle can be seen swerving to the right side of the road as she attempts to round a bend, before she collides with a road sign positioned in some brush.
Yakova was known by a combined following of over 30,000 across her Instagram and TikTok accounts for sharing her motorcycle rides. She seemingly last updated her accounts in April, sharing a video to Instagram boarding her vehicle.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our esteemed alumna and cherished friend, Ceyda Yakova, at such a young age,” her school wrote in its tribute. “We extend our heartfelt condolences and wish patience to her family, loved ones, and all who knew her, and we pray for God’s mercy upon her soul.”
In the comments of her final TikTok post, fans of the late internet personality shared tributes after the news circulated of her death.
