It was supposed to be just another ordinary morning at a construction site in Barberton, Ohio.

The machines were ready.

The crew was ready.

But then they heard something no one expected…

A tiny, desperate meow coming from inside a massive excavator. 🐱

😿 TRAPPED INSIDE A MACHINE WITH NOWHERE TO GO

Chase Guello, operating supervisor at River Reach Construction, followed the faint cries to their Komatsu excavator.

When he removed the machine’s skid plate, something unbelievable happened…

A tiny, dirty kitten suddenly crawled out.

Weak.

Terrified.

And somehow still fighting to survive after possibly being trapped inside the heavy equipment for a day or two under the summer heat. 💔

The moment they held her, the workers knew she wasn’t going back outside.

This little kitten had chosen them.

They brought her into the office trailer, gave her water, helped her cool down, and made sure she was safe.

Then came the most important question:

What should they name her?

The answer was obvious.

She had survived inside a Komatsu excavator…

So the crew named her Komatsu Sue — or simply Sue. 🐾

The story spread, and when Komatsu heard about their unexpected little fan, the company sent Sue a special surprise:

A custom-made tiny hard hat.

A safety vest.

Her very own construction gear.

And Sue wore it like she was born for the job. 😸

Today, Komatsu Sue is no longer a scared stray hiding inside a machine.

She is the official shop cat of River Reach Construction.

She has a home.

A crew who loves her.

And a story that proves kindness can be found in the most unexpected places.

🐾 She climbed into an excavator looking for shelter… and walked out with a family.
