Ed Dukes, a 32-year-old bicyclist from Tell City, has died three days after being struck by a vehicle in a crash on August 21.

According to Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home, Dukes passed away Tuesday at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, where he had been receiving treatment following the accident.

Authorities have not yet officially released the victim’s identity, as the investigation into the crash remains ongoing. However, family members confirmed that Dukes was the bicyclist involved.

Officials have not yet issued a full press release about the circumstances of the collision, saying more information will be released as the investigation progresses.

Dukes’ death has left family and friends mourning the sudden loss of a 32-year-old man whose life was cut short following the crash.

Funeral services for Dukes are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday and continue until the time of the service.
