Two Southern California Teens Killed in Crash as Suspect Sought After Alleged Hit-and-Run

Two teenage girls were killed in a devastating collision in Victorville, Southern California, as authorities continue searching for a man accused of fleeing the scene.

The crash occurred on August 14, 2026, killing Isabell DeLand, 16, and Maddalyn Dailey, 17. The two girls were reportedly close friends.

Police are searching for 50-year-old Terry Lamar Easter, who is also known by the nickname “Capone.” Authorities said a warrant has been issued for his arrest with $1 million bail.

According to police, Easter was driving a Chevrolet Camaro when he allegedly struck the teenagers’ vehicle before fleeing the crash scene.

Authorities are also investigating a particularly disturbing detail: Easter reportedly left his 11-year-old son behind in the damaged or burning vehicle before running away.

Another driver involved in the collision remained at the scene and was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities search for Easter and work to establish the full sequence of events that led to the fatal crash.

The allegations against Easter have not been proven in court, and he remains presumed innocent unless found guilty.
