Wombat-Snatching Influencer Samantha Strable Sentenced in Separate Wyoming Hunting Case

Samantha Strable Sentenced in Wyoming Hunting Case After Pleading No Contest
Samantha Strable, 26, also known online as Sam Jones, has been sentenced in Sublette County Circuit Court in Wyoming after pleading no contest to a hunting-related charge.

Strable pleaded no contest to hunting without a guide in a wilderness area. The court imposed a suspended 180-day jail sentence, along with 12 months of probation and approximately $575 in fines and court costs.
She had initially faced eight charges, including allegations of hunting without a license and making false statements about her residency status to obtain a hunting license.
As part of a plea agreement, prosecutors dismissed the remaining seven charges.

Authorities clarified that the Wyoming case is unrelated to the wombat incident. The charges stemmed from a separate hunting trip.
Strable’s no-contest plea and sentence resolve the Wyoming case under the terms of the agreement, although the dismissed allegations were part of the original criminal case.
