Wisconsin High School Football Player, 17, Dies After Serious Injury During Game

The Wisconsin high school football community is mourning the death of 17-year-old Adam Massman, a student-athlete who died two days after suffering a serious injury during a game.

Massman, a student at Alma Center Lincoln High School, played both quarterback and defensive back for the Lincoln Hornets.

The incident occurred on the evening of August 20, 2026, during a game against Turtle Lake. Massman was injured on the field and received immediate attention from emergency personnel before being transported to a hospital.
