Eggers appeared on season 2 of WE tv’s Love After Lockup in 2019 after serving four years in prison for drug trafficking. Her relationship with Vincent Gonzalez was chronicled on the reality series after the pair began dating while she was incarcerated.

During their time on the show, Gonzalez proposed to Eggers and she accepted. Their relationship ultimately came to an end following her release from prison.

Eggers also shared a close bond with her former cellmate Michelle “Puppy” Deaton, whom she met while incarcerated. Their complicated relationship was explored on the franchise, with the pair later appearing together on the Love After Lockup spinoff Life After Lockup.

“Whenever I didn’t love myself, Amber was there to love me,” Deaton previously said on the show of their relationship. “I honestly don’t think I would have made it without Amber.”
