Troopers said preliminary evidence indicated the Honda UTV was traveling south when the 15-year-old rider lost control, causing it to overturn onto its left side.

FHP said the teen was not wearing a helmet. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a statement to WESH 2, the family wrote:

“She loved all animals. She had a dog named Casper (he is the size of a horse), cat, bearded dragon, pygmy snake, rabbits, chickens and ducks. The memorial you’ve seen at the spot was made by her horse trainer. She has 7 different sourdough starters that we are going to keep going for her. She loved baking, and she even made freeze-dried candies. She would sell her baked goods and candies under her business Puffs Creations LLC at the Osteen Farmers Market. She is beyond loved and deeply missed.”

A 13-year-old riding as a passenger was taken by family members to Lake Monroe Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

A GoFundMe has been created for the family of the teen. Anyone interested in donating can do so here.
