The wife of a 53-year-old man killed in a deadly cargo plane crash at Miami International Airport has filed a wrongful death lawsuit seeking accountability for his death.

Yaraisi Santiso Morejon, the wife of Yoel Rodriguez Naranjo, filed the lawsuit after her husband was killed on September 6 when an Amazon cargo aircraft reportedly careened off the runway at Miami International Airport.

Naranjo was driving a van carrying an aircraft cleaning crew when Amazon Prime Air Flight 7598, a Boeing 767, overran the runway and struck the vehicle.

The crash killed Naranjo and four other people on the ground, turning what had been a routine workday into a devastating tragedy for multiple families.

According to the details provided, Naranjo was among the ground workers caught in the path of the aircraft as it left the runway. The impact caused fatal injuries, and five people on the ground ultimately lost their lives.

Morejon’s wrongful death lawsuit seeks legal accountability for the loss of her husband and addresses the devastating consequences his death has had on his family.
