MYSTERY DEEPENS AFTER WOMAN, 21, FOUND AT BOATYARD — MAN ARRESTED OVER HER DEATH RELEASED WITHOUT CHARGE

She was last seen entering the boatyard late at night. Two days later, her body was discovered. Nearly a year after a man was arrested, police have now closed the criminal investigation — but major questions remain unanswered.

The circumstances surrounding the death of 21-year-old Corinna Baker remain shrouded in mystery after the man once arrested in connection with her death was released without charge.

Corinna was found at Netpool Boat Yard in Cardigan, South Wales, on November 15 last year.

She had reportedly been last seen entering the former boat-building site two nights earlier.

Shortly after her body was discovered, detectives arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of murder.

Now, nearly a year later, police have confirmed that the man will face no further action.

WHY WAS CORINNA AT THE BOATYARD?

That remains one of the biggest unanswered questions.

Police have not publicly explained why Corinna was at the boatyard late at night or what happened during the two days between her last known sighting and the discovery of her body.

Her cause of death has also not been publicly revealed.

At the time of the investigation, witnesses reportedly saw police removing a boat covered with a black tarpaulin from the site.

The discovery prompted a major investigation as detectives attempted to establish what had happened to the young woman.

POLICE HAVE NOW CLOSED THE CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION

Dyfed-Powys Police said the decision to end the investigation followed a comprehensive review of the evidence, including the findings of Corinna’s post-mortem examination.

The 29-year-old man who had been arrested on suspicion of murder has now been released with no further action.

Police are preparing an evidence file for HM Coroner ahead of an inquest into Corinna’s death.

However, authorities have not publicly stated whether the death has now been formally classified as non-suspicious.

That leaves the circumstances surrounding Corinna’s final hours unresolved in the public eye.
