Born prematurely at just 31 weeks, baby Elijah entered the world facing daunting medical challenges. Doctors diagnosed him with serious lung issues alongside complex congenital heart defects, including Tetralogy of Fallot and pulmonary atresia. Before he was even old enough for his first major open-heart surgery at one year old, the brave infant had already endured five separate catheter-based heart procedures to keep him stable. When Elijah was merely two weeks old, doctors delivered heartbreaking news to his parents: the young baby was not making the progress everyone had hoped for.
