MUM AND THREE CHILDREN KILLED IN DEVASTATING HOUSE FIRE AS FAMILY PAYS HEARTBREAKING TRIBUTE

A mother and her three children have died after a devastating house fire tore through their home in Bootle, Merseyside, in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The victims have now been named as Elisha Brabin, 36, and her children Leo Brabin, 16, Ellis Brabin, eight, and Prudence Brabin, seven.

Their deaths have left a family and an entire community grieving, with relatives describing them as “loved beyond measure.”

FIRE ERUPTED IN THE EARLY HOURS

Emergency services were called to a semi-detached property on Stone Square at around 3:38 a.m. on September 22.

Fire crews arrived approximately seven minutes later to find the house already well alight.

At the height of the emergency, six fire engines attended the scene.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property to search for anyone trapped inside and tackle the blaze.

During the search, four people were found in an upstairs bedroom. They were later confirmed to have died.

A fifth casualty, who was outside the property when emergency crews arrived, was taken to hospital suffering from burns.

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service chief fire officer Nick Searle described the incident as an intense fire that spread rapidly.

THE FOUR VICTIMS HAVE BEEN NAMED

Merseyside Police confirmed the identities of the four people who died.

They were:

• Elisha Brabin, 36
• Leo Brabin, 16
• Ellis Brabin, 8
• Prudence Brabin, 7

Police released photographs of the mother and her three children as the family shared a tribute following their deaths.

The family’s statement described Elisha as a devoted mother who “lived for her children.”

“They were her whole world,” the family said.

They also remembered Leo, Ellis and Prudence as children who brought happiness, laughter and love to their family.

‘THEY HAVE ALL BEEN TAKEN FROM US FAR TOO SOON’

In a heartbreaking statement released through Merseyside Police, the family said they were devastated by the loss.

They described Elisha as a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, niece and cousin.

The three children were remembered as deeply loved members of the family.

The relatives said the tragedy had left them heartbroken and that its impact would be felt forever.

They also asked for privacy while they grieve and thanked the public for their kindness and support.

A COMMUNITY LEFT HEARTBROKEN

The tragedy has deeply affected residents of Stone Square and the wider Bootle community.

Flowers, cards, candles, photographs and children’s toys were left near the scene as neighbours came to pay their respects.

Among the tributes were soft toys and colourful balloons, creating a heartbreaking memorial outside the home.

One neighbour described the area as a close-knit community and said people had tried to help when they realised the house was on fire.

Another resident told reporters that the tragedy had left the community devastated.

A fundraising appeal established by a neighbour had also raised thousands of pounds as the community rallied around those affected.

INVESTIGATION INTO THE FIRE CONTINUES

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service and Merseyside Police are conducting a joint investigation to establish how the fire started.

Authorities have not announced a confirmed cause.

The property remains part of the investigation and the surrounding area has been subject to a police cordon.

Officials have stressed that the investigation is ongoing as specialists work to establish the circumstances surrounding the blaze.

For the Brabin family, however, the investigation cannot change the devastating loss they are now facing.

A mother and three children have been taken from their family in a single night.

And across Stone Square, the flowers and toys left outside their home now stand as a quiet reminder of four lives that meant everything to the people who loved them.
