BRITISH EXPAT, 43, VANISHES IN COLOMBIA AS FAMILY MAKES DESPERATE APPEAL FOR ANSWERS

A British man living in Colombia has disappeared, leaving his family thousands of miles away desperately searching for information about his whereabouts.

Anton Green, 43, originally from Manchester, was last heard from on August 5, 2026. His relatives say the prolonged silence is completely out of character and have appealed to anyone who may have seen or spoken to him to come forward.

Anton had reportedly been living in Colombia since 2023 after traveling through Europe and South America and developing a strong connection with the country.

FAMILY HAS NOT HEARD FROM HIM FOR WEEKS

Anton’s sister, Sian Tuohey, said the family had been unable to contact him for several weeks.

In an appeal shared online, she urged local residents, fellow expatriates and anyone familiar with the area to provide information that could help locate her brother.

She said:

“My brother Anton has been missing in Colombia for the last six weeks. He has been living there since 2023, but he has made no contact with the family now since August 5th.”

Sian also asked people to share the appeal widely, saying police were seeking information from anyone who might have spoken to Anton before he disappeared.

LAST KNOWN AREAS AND POSSIBLE TRAVEL PLANS

According to information provided by his family, Anton may have been staying around Fontibón and Mesitas del Colegio.

His relatives also believe he may have been considering traveling to neighbouring Ecuador. However, there has been no confirmed information publicly establishing that he crossed the border or reached another country.

Anton is described as being around 5ft 6in tall, with dark skin and short afro hair. He is fluent in Spanish, which may have helped him live and travel in Colombia.

FAMILY SAYS DISAPPEARANCE IS OUT OF CHARACTER

Sian said Anton had experienced mental-health difficulties around the same time the previous year. This is information provided by the family and does not establish what may have happened to him.

Relatives remain concerned because of the length of time since they last heard from him.
