Recently, Netty was brought back to our facility. The reason provided by her owners was simple and devastating: incontinence. After a long period of devotion, a minor medical challenge associated with advanced age became too inconvenient to manage. When she arrived, Netty was understandably confused. The familiar sights and sounds of a crowded shelter are daunting, but for a fifteen-year-old senior, it is a crushing blow.
