A former South Park writer is taking the explosive Cornell case into his own hands.

Toby Morton has launched TheCornell7.org, a website focused on allegations involving seven members of Cornell University’s Chi Phi fraternity and a former student.

The case dates back to October 2024.

A former Cornell student, identified as “Jane Doe” in a newly filed civil lawsuit, alleges that she was drugged and sexually assaulted by multiple fraternity members at the Chi Phi house when she was 20.

She also alleges that additional fraternity members were invited to participate through a group messaging platform.

The seven men named in the lawsuit have not been criminally charged.

That distinction is important.

Cornell has disputed parts of the allegations, while Tompkins County District Attorney Matthew Van Houten has said the new civil complaint contains allegations that are “dramatically different” from the account given to police in 2024.

Now, the criminal investigation has reportedly been reopened.

And Morton says he intends to document the case publicly.

His website says it will collect the woman’s account, the lawsuit, public records, reporting and institutional responses — while emphasizing that identities and photographs must be verified before publication.

Morton has also warned that he is looking beyond the seven men, saying he plans to examine the role of people and institutions surrounding the case.

The controversy has intensified because the lawsuit alleges that some of the accused students received temporary suspensions and were given opportunities to mitigate discipline through essays — an allegation Cornell has disputed.

For now, the criminal allegations remain allegations.

But with the district attorney reopening the case and a new website promising to keep the story in public view, the Cornell controversy is far from over.
