FAMILY VACATION TRAGEDY AT GREAT WOLF LODGE

FAMILY VACATION TRAGEDY AT GREAT WOLF LODGE
What was intended to be a family getaway to the Great Wolf Lodge in the Pocono Mountains took a heartbreaking turn on Monday afternoon when a father and his three-year-old son were found dead inside their resort room. The tragedy has now led to criminal charges against the child’s mother, 27-year-old Metallica Rose Harrison, leaving authorities searching for answers.

Metallica and her husband, Charles Harrison, from Towanda, Pennsylvania, had checked into the Scotrun resort on September 21st with their young boy. What started as a short vacation became an extended stay after the family renewed their reservation on October 5th for an additional eight nights. By Sunday evening, October 11th, they had been residing at the resort for nearly three full weeks.
According to court records, the family returned to their room shortly before 7:00 p.m. that Sunday. Later that evening, Metallica and Charles visited the resort’s arcade before returning upstairs around 11:22 p.m. Surveillance cameras captured these routine moments—the last record of the family before emergency services were summoned the following day.

At approximately 3:13 p.m. on Monday, Metallica dialed 911 from her room. First responders arrived to find Charles and their son deceased. Metallica was transported to a local hospital, where she reportedly made statements reflecting on her shattered expectations for family life.
She was subsequently taken into police custody and formally charged in connection with the deaths. Following her court appearance on Tuesday, bail was denied. Authorities have yet to disclose a potential motive or detail the exact circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
