Her husband, Mark Cain, 45, has been charged with her murder. He appeared at King’s Lynn Crown Court on October 8 and was remanded in custody until a plea hearing scheduled for December 3, 2026. He has not entered a plea, and the allegation has not been proven in court.

A DOCTOR WHO CARED DEEPLY FOR HER PATIENTS

Hannah worked as a general practitioner at Grimston Medical Centre in Norfolk and had more than 15 years of experience as a qualified doctor.

She was also reported to be part of a group of doctors available to provide medical care to members of the British Royal Family when they stayed at the nearby Sandringham Estate.

Alongside her medical career, she ran a cosmetics business. Those who knew her remembered not only her professional achievements but also her kindness and the warmth she brought to the people around her.

Following her death, colleagues and patients shared tributes, while flowers and messages were left in her memory.

WHAT THE COURT HEARD

Emergency services were called to Hannah’s home in the early hours of October 4, 2026. She was found unconscious and unresponsive in an upstairs bedroom.

At an initial court hearing, prosecutors said a post-mortem examination had identified blunt-force injuries to the right side of her head and injuries that could suggest compression of the neck.

At a subsequent hearing, the prosecution outlined the allegation against Mark Cain. These are matters for the criminal proceedings, and the defendant is entitled to a fair trial.

The next hearing is scheduled for December 3, when the case is due to return to court for a plea hearing.
