FROM TINY NICU SURVIVORS TO SWEET 16: THE MCGHEE SEXTUPLETS CELEBRATE AN INCREDIBLE MILESTONE
Six babies who once fought for survival in a neonatal intensive care unit have reached an extraordinary milestone. The McGhee sextuplets—Rozonno Jr., Josiah, Isaac, Madison, Elijah, and Olivia—whose birth captured national attention, are now celebrating their 16th birthday. Born on June 9, 2010, in Columbus, Ohio, they entered the world less than a minute apart, becoming central Ohio’s first known sextuplets.

To celebrate their Sweet 16, parents Mia and Rozonno organized a special party where each teenager received an individual introduction in birth order. Sisters Madison and Olivia wore black-and-silver dresses with tiaras, while their four brothers wore colorful vests, black trousers, and sunglasses. The joyous event stood in sharp contrast to the family’s challenging beginning. Following years of fertility treatments, Mia faced a high-risk pregnancy monitored by 50 medical professionals before undergoing a carefully planned C-section. Each newborn weighed between one and two pounds, requiring weeks of critical care.

Eventually, all six babies returned home, beginning a journey captured on television series like Six Little McGhees and Growing Up McGhee. Today, settled in Texas, Mia and Rozonno face new milestones, managing schoolwork, sports, and driving conversations instead of diapers. Revisitng tiny hospital bracelets and newborn hats serves as a emotional reminder of their resilience. Reaching age 16 is more than a birthday; it is a testament to six fragile lives that overcame immense odds together.
