Jordan was known for her dedication to her studies, maintaining a perfect 4.0 grade-point average while working toward her degree.

But her ambitions extended beyond academic success. According to her family and obituary, she hoped to become a physician assistant and use her knowledge of neuroscience and the connections between the gut and brain to help people struggling with eating disorders.

It was a goal that reflected her desire to make a meaningful difference in other people’s lives.

Those who knew Jordan remembered her not simply as a talented student, but as someone who cared deeply about the people around her. Her family described her as generous, humble and kind, with a natural empathy for those in need.

For her loved ones, the loss is especially difficult because so many of the milestones she had worked toward were so close.

THE FAMILY MEMORIES THAT MEANT EVERYTHING

Away from university, Jordan shared a particularly close bond with her younger cousins. Her family recalled how she would wrap them in hugs, make them laugh and fill their time together with affection and playful energy.

She also held a special role during family holiday gatherings: their unofficial “toastmaster.”

Whenever everyone gathered, relatives would look to Jordan to say a few words. She always found something heartfelt to share, helping make ordinary family moments feel special.

These are the memories her family is holding onto now — the laughter, the hugs, the celebrations and the warmth she brought into their lives.

Her obituary also remembered her as a talented baker, a natural leader and a mentor who brought love and consideration to the people she met.

Her life, though tragically short, left an impression that her family and friends say will not be forgotten.

HER FORMER SOFTBALL TEAM PAYS TRIBUTE

Jordan’s connection to her community began long before her final semester at university.

She graduated from Cheshire High School in 2023 and played softball there. Following news of her passing, her former team shared a message expressing its heartbreak at losing a former player and teammate.

The tribute extended sympathy to her family, friends and everyone who had known and loved her, remembering her as someone who would be deeply missed.

The restaurant where Jordan worked, Anthony’s Pizzeria and Deli in Cheshire, also remembered her as more than an employee. She had become part of its wider work family, leaving behind relationships that extended beyond her job.

Messages from those different parts of her life paint a picture of a young woman who made connections wherever she went.

FAMILY ASKS FOR PRAYERS AS THEY WAIT FOR ANSWERS

In a fundraising message shared by relatives, Jordan’s family described the loss as unexpected and devastating. They said they were still awaiting answers while trying to come to terms with what had happened.

The fundraiser was established to help with expenses associated with the medical emergency, travel, funeral and burial.

The family also asked people to keep Jordan, her parents, her brothers and everyone who loved her in their thoughts and prayers as they navigate the difficult days ahead.

Jordan is survived by her parents, two brothers, her boyfriend and extended family members.

Funeral arrangements announced by the family scheduled visitation for October 26, followed by a funeral Mass on October 27 in Cheshire, Connecticut.

A LIFE REMEMBERED FOR ITS KINDNESS

There are moments when a future seems to be just beginning — a degree nearly completed, a career waiting to take shape and so many plans still ahead.

For Jordan’s family, the weeks leading up to graduation were supposed to be filled with anticipation and pride. Instead, they are facing a loss that has left them searching for answers and trying to make sense of an unimaginable change.

Her academic achievements were remarkable, but the tributes to Jordan speak just as strongly about her character: her compassion, her closeness to family, her ability to make others smile and her desire to help people facing difficult challenges.

Those who knew her will carry those memories forward.

Jordan Chymbor was only 21. She had dreams she was working toward and a future she hoped to use to help others. Though her life ended before she could reach the milestones she had been preparing for, the love she shared and the lives she touched remain part of her story.

May Jordan rest in peace, and may her family and friends find comfort and strength as they mourn her loss. 🕊️
