PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA — November 3, 2026

What was supposed to be a beautiful family getaway ended in an unimaginable tragedy.

A father, a mother, and their two young children were among nine people who lost their lives when a private jet plunged into a Florida neighborhood on Sunday, November 1.

The youngest victim was just 2 years old.

Adam Robinson, 45, a successful technology entrepreneur, was traveling with his wife, Helen Sharp, 40, and their two children, Emma, 4, and Charlie, 2.

Their destination was the Bahamas, where the family was reportedly planning to celebrate Adam’s birthday.

Instead, their journey ended in a catastrophic aviation disaster near West Palm Beach.

A Family of Four, Gone in an Instant

Family photographs show Adam and Helen smiling alongside their children, capturing moments of happiness that loved ones will now treasure forever.

Adam was known for his work in the technology industry, including founding Retention.com and other marketing software businesses.

Helen was an entrepreneur and creative professional who had built a career in public relations before pursuing ceramics.

But beyond their professional achievements, relatives remembered them most for their devotion to their children.

In a heartbreaking statement, family members described Emma and Charlie as “the light of their lives.”

The children’s ages have made the tragedy especially devastating for those following the story.

Emma was only beginning her childhood.

Her little brother, Charlie, was just 2.

Neither would ever reach the vacation destination their family had planned.

Five Others Also Lost Their Lives

The devastating crash also claimed the lives of Anita Maria Cetina, who helped care for the children, and family friends Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr.

Relatives described Anita as a deeply caring person who treated Emma and Charlie with tenderness and devotion.

Rachael and Charmi were remembered as adventurous, loving individuals who shared a strong bond.

Two aviation crew members also lost their lives, including 20-year-old co-pilot Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras.

Nathalia had earned her pilot’s license at just 17, demonstrating an early passion for aviation.

The tragedy has left multiple families mourning loved ones who boarded the same flight with plans for the future.

What Happened During the Final Flight?

The Learjet 60 departed Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas on Sunday morning, heading toward North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas.

But shortly before 1 p.m., the aircraft crashed near a residential area in Palm Beach County.

Witnesses described a terrifying scene as the jet descended rapidly before striking the ground and erupting in flames.

Emergency crews rushed to the area as smoke rose above nearby homes.

Authorities confirmed that all nine people aboard the aircraft had died.

No injuries were reported among people on the ground.

Investigators Search for Answers

The National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the disaster.

Preliminary information indicates that the aircraft encountered turbulence and icing conditions before the emergency.

Investigators are examining flight communications, weather conditions and aircraft evidence to determine what happened.

Officials have not established the crash’s probable cause.

For the grieving families, the investigation may eventually provide answers, but it cannot restore the lives lost.

“Their Love Will Last Forever”

In a joint statement, relatives remembered Adam and Helen as devoted parents whose warmth and generosity touched countless people.

They also expressed their grief for the other passengers, remembering the friendships and love that connected everyone aboard.

The family’s statement described Adam and Helen’s relationship as a love that would endure forever.

Their loss has shaken friends, former colleagues and communities across Texas, Colorado and beyond.

Behind the headlines are nine individual lives, each with family members, friendships, dreams and unfinished plans.

For Adam, Helen, Emma and Charlie, a vacation that promised beautiful memories became a journey from which none returned.

Four members of one family. Two children, just 4 and 2 years old. Nine lives lost in a single flight.

As investigators continue seeking answers, families and friends are left holding photographs, remembering laughter and mourning futures that will never unfold.

May all nine victims be remembered with love, and may their grieving families find strength in the days ahead.
