“I NEVER THOUGHT I’D HAVE TO GIVE THIS UP” — COLEEN NOLAN, 61, SAYS GOODBYE TO HER DREAM FARM AS NEW ROMANCE BRINGS A LIFE-CHANGING DECISION

“I NEVER THOUGHT I’D HAVE TO GIVE THIS UP” — COLEEN NOLAN, 61, SAYS GOODBYE TO HER DREAM FARM AS NEW ROMANCE BRINGS A LIFE-CHANGING DECISION
STAFFORDSHIRE, ENGLAND — November 6, 2026
For years, Coleen Nolan dreamed of escaping the busy world of television and enjoying a peaceful life in the countryside, surrounded by animals, family and the home she had always wanted.
But now, at 61, the Loose Women star is preparing to leave that dream behind.
Coleen has put her six-acre Staffordshire countryside property up for sale, just two years after purchasing it in 2024. Her decision marks a major change in her personal life, as she prepares to downsize and begin a new chapter with her boyfriend, Ryan Brockbank.
And perhaps the most emotional part of the decision involves the approximately 30 animals that have made the farm feel like home.
THE FARM THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE HER FOREVER HOME
When Coleen purchased the six-acre property in 2024, it represented something she had wanted for a long time.
Away from television studios, busy schedules and public attention, the countryside offered her a chance to enjoy a slower, more peaceful lifestyle.
The property became home to an impressive collection of animals, including horses, pygmy goats, dogs, cats, chickens and ducks.
In September 2025, during an appearance on ITV’s This Morning, Coleen proudly revealed that she had around 30 animals.
She explained that her little countryside world was her happy place, where the animals did not care about her appearance, television career or celebrity status.
They simply wanted her attention, food and affection.
But maintaining such a large property was more demanding than she had anticipated.
WHY COLEEN DECIDED TO SELL
Speaking on ITV’s Loose Women on November 2, Coleen opened up about the real reasons behind her decision.
One of the biggest changes involved her daughter Ciara, who had been living on the property with her partner Maxx and their young child.
Ciara told her mother that she and Maxx were planning to move out and start building a life of their own.
Coleen said she was happy for them, understanding that they needed their own space and independence.
However, their departure meant that she would be left managing the farm largely by herself.
She admitted:
“The dream of it has been everything I wanted it to be but the reality is really hard.”
Coleen explained that even managing the property with Ciara had been challenging. Doing everything alone, while continuing her television work and family commitments, would be an entirely different situation.
She realized that it was time to make a change.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE 30 ANIMALS?
Perhaps the biggest concern among fans has been the future of the animals.
Coleen addressed the question directly, explaining that arrangements had been made for different members of her animal family.
Her horses have already found what she described as beautiful new homes.
Her dogs and cats will be moving with her to her next home.
Meanwhile, her goats, ducks and chickens are expected to remain at the Staffordshire farm with its eventual new owners.
She explained:
“The dogs and the cats are fine with us but the horses have got beautiful new homes and I think the goats, ducks and the chickens are staying on the farm.”
Although the animals will no longer all be living together under her care, Coleen has reassured fans that arrangements are being made for their future.
For someone who has spent so much time caring for them, this is undoubtedly a significant change.
A NEW ROMANCE WITH RYAN BROCKBANK
Coleen’s decision to downsize has also coincided with an exciting new chapter in her love life.
The television personality has found happiness with Ryan Brockbank, 47, who is 14 years younger than her.
The couple went public with their relationship in August 2026, after initially connecting through Instagram.
According to reports, Ryan was the one who first reached out to Coleen, asking whether she would like to meet for a drink.
Their relationship has since developed, and Coleen has spoken openly about how happy she is.
She explained that although the decision to leave the farm had already been taking shape because of her daughter’s plans, meeting Ryan gave her an exciting new possibility.
She said:
“I met Ryan then it was like okay if I’m going to downsize, I’ve got someone wonderful to do that with and start a whole new adventure of life with someone new.”
The prospect of beginning again with someone special appears to have made the transition easier for her.
A DIFFICULT GOODBYE TO A MUCH-LOVED DREAM
For Coleen, leaving the farm is about more than selling a property.
It means saying goodbye to a lifestyle she once imagined would last for years.
The countryside home gave her somewhere to escape the pressures of fame, spend time with her children and enjoy the simple pleasure of looking after animals.
But circumstances have changed.
Her daughter is preparing to build a home of her own, the responsibility of managing the farm has become increasingly difficult, and Coleen has found someone with whom she wants to share her future.
Rather than holding on to a lifestyle that no longer fits her circumstances, she is choosing to embrace something different.
FANS REACT AS COLEEN PREPARES FOR A FRESH START
News of Coleen’s plans has attracted attention from fans who have followed her countryside adventures over the past two years.
For many, the farm had become part of her identity, and seeing her prepare to leave it marks the end of a memorable chapter.
Others have focused on the emotional arrangements for her animals, particularly the horses that have already moved to new homes.
But Coleen appears determined to look forward rather than dwell on what she is leaving behind.
The six-acre countryside paradise may have been a lifelong dream, but sometimes life takes people in unexpected directions.
At 61, Coleen is showing that it is never too late to change course, embrace love and begin again.
She may be leaving behind the farm she once dreamed of, but she is making room for a completely different kind of happiness. ❤️
