HEARTBREAKING CHANGE FOR COLEEN NOLAN, 61: TV STAR LEAVES HER SIX-ACRE DREAM FARM FOR A NEW CHAPTER WITH BOYFRIEND — AND REVEALS WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO HER 30 ANIMALS
After spending years dreaming of a countryside paradise, Coleen Nolan is preparing to leave the six-acre Staffordshire farm she bought in 2024. The Loose Women star is embracing a new chapter with boyfriend Ryan Brockbank, but her decision means saying goodbye to much of the animal family that made the property so special.
For Coleen Nolan, owning a countryside farm was supposed to be a dream come true.
The 61-year-old television personality had finally created the peaceful rural lifestyle she had always wanted: a beautiful property surrounded by open countryside, plenty of space for her family and around 30 animals to care for.
But now, just two years after purchasing the six-acre property in Staffordshire, Coleen is preparing to leave it behind.
Her decision has attracted considerable attention, particularly because it comes as she begins a new relationship with Ryan Brockbank, 47.
However, as Coleen recently explained on ITV’s Loose Women, the decision was not simply about falling in love. Changes within her family had made managing the farm increasingly difficult.
THE FARM THAT WAS ONCE HER BIGGEST DREAM
Coleen purchased her six-acre Staffordshire property in 2024, fulfilling a long-held ambition to enjoy life away from the demands of television.
The farm quickly became her happy place.
During an appearance on ITV’s This Morning in September 2025, she revealed that she had approximately 30 animals, including four pygmy goats, two horses, six cats, five dogs, five chickens and five ducks.
She spoke affectionately about her animals, explaining that they did not care about her celebrity status or what she looked like.
They simply wanted food, attention and affection.
For Coleen, that was one of the most wonderful things about country living.
But behind the beautiful countryside lifestyle was a considerable amount of work.
Looking after so many animals, maintaining the property and balancing everything with her television career was becoming increasingly demanding.
HER DAUGHTER’S DECISION CHANGED EVERYTHING
Speaking on Loose Women on November 2, Coleen revealed that a major family development had played an important role in her decision.
Her daughter Ciara, who lives on the property with her partner Maxx and their young child, told her that they were planning to move out and build a home of their own.
Coleen said she was delighted for them, understanding that they needed their own space and independence.
But their departure meant she would be left managing the farm largely by herself.
She explained:
“The dream of it has been everything I wanted it to be but the reality is really hard.”
Coleen admitted that even managing the property with Ciara had been challenging. Doing everything alone while continuing her work and family commitments would be much harder.
She also made clear that the decision to downsize had been discussed before Ryan entered her life.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO HER 30 ANIMALS?
Perhaps the biggest question among fans concerns the animals that have been part of Coleen’s countryside adventure.
During her television appearance, she revealed that arrangements were being made for them.
Her horses have already found what she described as beautiful new homes.
Her dogs and cats will be moving with her to her next home in London.
Meanwhile, her goats, ducks and chickens are expected to remain at the Staffordshire property with its eventual new owners.
Coleen explained:
“The dogs and the cats are fine with us but the horses have got beautiful new homes and I think the goats, ducks and the chickens are staying on the farm.”
Although the animals will no longer all be together under her care, Coleen has reassured viewers that plans have been made for their future.
For someone who has spent so much time caring for them, leaving the farm will undoubtedly be an emotional change.
A NEW CHAPTER WITH RYAN BROCKBANK
Coleen’s decision to downsize has also coincided with a new romance.
She has been dating Ryan Brockbank, 47, who is 14 years younger than her.
The relationship has brought excitement into her life, and she has spoken positively about the possibility of sharing a new adventure with someone special.
Reflecting on the timing of the relationship, she said:
“I met Ryan then it was like okay if I’m going to downsize, I’ve got someone wonderful to do that with and start a whole new adventure of life with someone new.”
The television star is now looking forward to a different lifestyle, potentially closer to London and with fewer responsibilities than managing a six-acre farm.
A DREAM SHE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER
For Coleen, leaving the farm is about more than selling a property.
It means saying goodbye to a lifestyle she once imagined enjoying for many years.
The open fields, the animals, the peaceful surroundings and the memories created with her children and grandchildren have all been part of an important chapter in her life.
But circumstances change, and what once felt perfect may not always remain practical.
At 61, Coleen appears ready to embrace a new beginning.
Her horses have found new homes, her cats and dogs will stay by her side, and the remaining farm animals are expected to continue living at the property.
The six-acre countryside paradise may soon belong to someone else, but the memories she created there will remain hers.
Sometimes, moving forward means letting go of a dream you once thought would last forever.
