8-Month-Old Baby Goes Viral After Hairdresser Mom Gave Her a ‘Fresh’ Set of 22 Inch Extensions

Chelsea Falcetti didn’t expect a silly moment with her baby girl to go viral so quickly.
The mom of four, 34, tells PEOPLE she was recently going into work at The Plan, a salon she owns in Holyoke, Mass., and brought along her 8-month-old daughter Frankie. While she was there, Falcetti says she and her receptionist were joking around and decided to film a TikTok with her little girl.
“We put a cape on her just for fun, and at the time, we had an extension client who graciously gave us permission to borrow some of her hair. From there, the idea just kept growing,” she says.

In the now-viral TikTok, baby Frankie can be seen sitting up in a salon chair while her mom applies the extensions to the back of her head. She then adds a beanie on top so it looks like the extensions cover Frankie’s full head and zooms in on Frankie’s mesmerized face. Seconds later, Frankie smiles and claps her hands, excited about her new look.

“Fresh new pair of 22s for tha babyyy #beingagirlisfun,” Falcetti captioned the clip.

Falcetti says she hoped the video with Frankie would help “gain some traction” on social media as a small business.
“We thought, ‘Who doesn’t love cute baby content?’ This was definitely one of our more spontaneous ideas, but it felt fun and lighthearted in the moment,” she shares.
As seen in the video, Frankie is a “very easygoing” baby.
Falcetti notes that the 8-month-old is the youngest of four and was “just along for the ride and enjoying the attention.”

“She sat so nicely, loved looking at herself in the mirror, and was genuinely curious about what we were doing,” she adds.
After posting the video to TikTok, Falcetti never guessed the clip would take off as it did.
“I was completely shocked by how quickly it took off. Almost immediately after I posted it, my phone started buzzing nonstop with notifications,” she recalls. “I never expected that level of momentum—it was wild and so fun to watch happen in real time.”
