A small passenger plane crashed in the Bahamas, killing **all 10 people on board**, including several well-known local musicians and a popular DJ, authorities confirmed.

The aircraft, a **Cessna 402** operated by **Flamingo Air**, departed **Lynden Pindling International Airport** in Nassau on a flight to San Andros before crashing near North Andros. Emergency crews responded to the scene, but all nine passengers and the pilot were killed.
The Bahamas Musicians and Entertainers Union said the victims included members of the popular Bahamian group **Da Pond Band** and a well-known local DJ, describing their deaths as a tremendous loss to the nation’s cultural community. Tributes have poured in from fellow artists, fans, and government officials.

In response to the crash, Bahamian authorities temporarily suspended Flamingo Air’s operating certificate as a precaution while investigators examine the accident. Officials noted that another Flamingo Air aircraft experienced a separate safety incident earlier the same day, prompting additional scrutiny of the airline’s operations.
Investigators from the Bahamas Aircraft Accident Investigation Authority are working to determine what caused the crash. Authorities have not yet identified a definitive cause, and the investigation remains ongoing.
