The world continues to hold its breath as Timmy’s dramatic rescue unfolds in the North Sea, but the mission is now facing some unexpected hurdles — technical issues and a lockdown are creating serious challenges. Here’s the current situation:

GOOD NEWS FIRST: HE’S ALIVE!

The most important update: Timmy is still alive! The tracking station on his back is still transmitting vital data, showing that his heart is beating and that he’s swimming through the water. This is a huge relief to everyone involved in the rescue. The stone has been lifted from our hearts — he’s still with us, still fighting!

However, there’s a major hitch in the mission. The GPS tracker is currently not sending any coordinates. Why? The antenna may have been damaged during his transfer out of the transport barrel, or it could be that the rough sea conditions are interfering with the transmission. So while we know that Timmy is moving, we don’t know exactly where he is. We know he’s swimming, but not where he’s headed.
