MEET THE 2-FOOT, 16-POUND NEWBORN — A GIANT LITTLE ARRIVAL THAT HAS EVERYONE TALKING

A baby boy weighing an incredible 16 pounds and measuring nearly two feet long has amazed doctors and hospital staff after being delivered by caesarean section in Brazil.
Little Angerson Santos was born at Hospital Padre Colombo in Parintins after doctors realized he was simply too large to be delivered naturally.
Despite the difficult delivery, both Angerson and his mother, 27-year-old Cleidiane Santos dos Santos, were reported to be doing well following the birth. The newborn was placed in an incubator for monitoring, where doctors said he remained stable.

For the family, the arrival of their son brought a mix of shock, relief, and emotion.
“We knew he was going to be a big baby,” a family member shared, “but nothing could have prepared us for this moment. The most important thing is that he arrived safely.”
The newborn quickly became the center of attention at the hospital, not only because of his unusual size, but also because of the unexpected challenges his parents now face.
According to hospital staff, none of the clothes or nappies the family had prepared for Angerson fit him.

The facility is collecting extra-large nappies and clothes for infants aged between nine months and a year.
“They had lovingly prepared everything before his birth,” one hospital worker explained. “But Angerson arrived much bigger than anyone expected.”
Cleidiane’s relatives say she remains emotional but grateful after the safe delivery.
“He is already our little miracle,” the family said. “All we care about is seeing him healthy and growing stronger every day.”
