Born Without Arms or Legs, Nick Vujicic Turned Pain, Bullying, and Doubt Into a Life of Hope, Family, Purpose, and Global Inspiration
Many people looked at Nick Vujicic when he was born and believed his future would be small.
They were wrong.

Born in Australia on December 4, 1982, Nick entered the world with tetra-amelia syndrome, a rare condition that left him without arms or legs. From the beginning, life demanded courage from him in ways most people could never imagine. Simple daily tasks were difficult. School brought bullying, loneliness, and painful questions no child should have to carry.
During his youth, Nick struggled deeply. There were moments when he wondered whether his life had meaning at all. But over time, something inside him began to change. Instead of only seeing what he did not have, he started discovering what he could still do.
With determination, patience, and faith, Nick taught himself to write, type, use technology, swim, surf, and live with remarkable independence. What once seemed impossible slowly became part of his everyday life.
Then he began sharing his story.
Small talks turned into a worldwide mission. Nick went on to speak to millions of people across more than 70 countries, carrying a message of hope, resilience, faith, and strength. He became a bestselling author, founded organizations to encourage others, and used his voice to fight bullying and inspire people facing hardship.
But perhaps his greatest achievement is not found on a stage or inside a book.
It is the life he chose to build.

In 2012, Nick married Kanae Miyahara, and together they became parents to four children. He travels, works, laughs, dreams, and lives fully.
Nick Vujicic’s story is not about what he was born without.
It is about everything he refused to give up on, and everything he chose to become.
