Concerns Over Possible Linked Cases in Thailand as Police Investigate Additional Suitcases

Police in Thailand are reviewing three earlier unsolved cases involving women discovered in suitcases, following the recent incident involving a 17-year-old Thai teenager and a foreign tourist.

The latest case involves 46-year-old Australian Simon Carman, who has been charged in connection with the disappearance and discovery of the teenager’s body in a suitcase near train tracks in the Pattaya area.

Authorities are now examining whether there are any connections to three similar incidents from last year, where unidentified women (believed to be in their 30s) were found in suitcases in the Chonburi and Rayong regions. These included cases with weights or heavy objects inside the luggage.

  • One case in September 2025 at Khlong Bang Phai Reservoir, Chonburi.
  • Another in February in Rayong, where a suitcase was found floating.
  • A third in January 2025 near Highway No. 331 in Chonburi.

Police have stated there is currently no evidence linking Carman to the earlier cases, but they are investigating due to the similarities in how the suitcases were discovered.

The developments have raised questions among local authorities about patterns in these incidents. Investigations are ongoing.

This is a sensitive ongoing police matter, and more details may emerge as the cases progress.
