Ricky Hatton’s Family Locked in Dispute with Trustees Over £40m Estate

Exclusive: A bitter row has broken out within the family of late boxing legend Ricky Hatton after it emerged that the former world champion died without leaving a will.
The “Hitman,” who passed away at the age of 46 in September last year after a long battle with mental health issues, is believed to have built up a substantial £40 million fortune through his successful boxing career and smart business investments. However, months after his death, his children remain in the dark about how and when the estate will be distributed.

Family Frustration Grows
Trustees were appointed following Hatton’s death, but sources close to the family describe communication as “limited” and the situation as a “complete mess.”
Ricky’s son, Campbell Hatton (25), is so concerned that he has reportedly hired a lawyer to investigate the matter. His daughters, Millie (14) and Fearne (12), are also said to be unaware of the details surrounding their father’s estate.
Earlier this month, Campbell publicly addressed the situation on Instagram, stating he had not received a “million-pound inheritance” as many people assumed. He explained that he still needs to work to support his family, shortly after signing with promoter Misfits Boxing.

Background and Assets
It was widely expected that Hatton would leave his fortune to his children. Official records show he financed more than 20 businesses with his fight earnings. His Cheshire mansion recently sold for £1.5 million, and he is also believed to have owned additional properties in the UK and Tenerife.
The family’s former lawyer, Paul Dodds, and ex-secretary Catherine Lomas have taken on director roles in some of his companies following his death.
A source told The Sun: “It’s been more than eight months since Ricky died and the family is no closer to finding out what’s going on with his estate… It doesn’t seem right.”

Recent Tragedies
The family is still grieving and dealing with additional challenges. Just days ago, thugs firebombed Ricky’s Ford Kuga outside Campbell’s home in an unrelated incident.
This latest dispute adds another painful chapter to the legacy of one of British boxing’s most beloved figures.
