Missing GoPro Camera Becomes New Focus In Maria Eduarda Investigation

A new layer of concern has emerged in the investigation into the death of Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas after reports said a GoPro camera believed to have been used during the jump is now missing.
Several outlets reported that investigators are looking into whether the camera was removed after the incident and whether digital evidence may have been hidden or deleted. One witness reportedly told local media that a member of the jump team appeared to remove the camera from Maria after the fall.
According to further reports, three additional people were later arrested in connection with the alleged handling or disappearance of evidence, separate from the three instructors initially arrested after the rope-jumping incident. The missing camera is considered important because it may have captured the final moments before Maria was released from the bridge.
The case has therefore expanded beyond the safety failure itself. Investigators are now examining not only how Maria was released without the rope attached, but also what happened immediately afterward and whether evidence was properly preserved.
For the public, the missing camera has become one of the most disturbing unanswered questions. If recovered, it could help clarify t
he sequence of events and identify who was responsible for the final safety check.
