A tiny kitten has made an encouraging recovery after spending three days trapped inside a sewer pipe before rescuers were finally able to reach it.

Residents first heard faint cries coming from beneath the street and alerted an animal rescue team. After locating the source of the sounds, rescuers discovered a frightened kitten trapped deep inside a narrow drainage pipe, unable to climb out on its own.
