5-Month-Old Baby Fights for His Life After Heart Stops
Baby Brian Jr., just 5 months old from Texas, survived an incredibly difficult medical emergency after his tiny heart stopped beating. Doctors performed CPR for two hours before he was stabilized.
He is now receiving ECMO support at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, while his family hopes and prays that his heart will regain enough strength to pump on its own.

Brian was diagnosed before birth with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), a serious condition in which the left side of the heart does not develop normally. His parents, Rhiannon and Brian, chose to fight for their son and pursue treatment.
Today, their family continues to hold onto hope as Baby Brian faces one of the toughest battles of his young life.
