The disappearance of 63-year-old Alisa Goods, a grandmother of five from New York, has ended with a heartbreaking discovery in Las Vegas — but surveillance footage has now raised new questions about what happened during her final known moments.

Goods was visiting a longtime friend in Las Vegas when she disappeared on August 8, 2026.

Nearly two weeks later, her body was found in a drainage ditch near Harry Reid International Airport.

THE SURVEILLANCE FOOTAGE

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, airport surveillance from August 8 showed Goods falling down an embankment, getting back up and then collapsing again.

Police said there was no further movement visible afterward.

Her location could not be seen from the nearby street, which may help explain why she was not discovered sooner.

The footage is now one of the most important pieces of information available about her final movements.

SHE HAD LEFT TO GO SHOPPING

Goods had been staying with a longtime friend, Roger John, during her Las Vegas visit.

On August 8, she reportedly left the apartment to go shopping and made it to a CVS.

John has not been identified as a suspect and participated in efforts to help locate her.

 THEN CAME THE MYSTERIOUS MESSAGES

While the search was underway, Goods’ family said they began receiving messages from her phone requesting help, gas money and Bitcoin.

Her relatives quickly became suspicious because they did not believe the messages sounded like something Goods would send.

The messages intensified fears that someone else might have had access to her phone.

However, the existence of those messages does not by itself establish that another person was responsible for Goods’ death. Authorities have reportedly treated the people behind the messages as unrelated “bad actors.”

A BODY FOUND NEAR THE AIRPORT

In the early hours of August 20, police received a report of a deceased woman in a drainage ditch near Wayne Newton Boulevard and the Terminal 1 parking garage at Harry Reid International Airport.

Officers located the body and later confirmed that it was Goods.

Her family was devastated.

Goods’ niece, Alana Calloway, said the family was still trying to understand what had happened and asked for privacy while they grieved.
