The disappearance of 63-year-old Alisa Goods, a New York grandmother visiting Las Vegas, has ended in heartbreak after her body was found in a drainage ditch near Harry Reid International Airport.

Goods disappeared on August 8 after leaving a longtime friend’s home to go shopping. Her family reported her missing two days later, and relatives spent nearly two weeks searching for answers.

 SURVEILLANCE VIDEO MAY HOLD THE KEY

Police said airport surveillance footage from August 8 shows Goods falling down an embankment, getting back up and then collapsing again.

According to investigators, there was no further movement after the second collapse. The area where she fell could not be seen from the nearby roadway, which may explain why she remained undiscovered for days.

Her body was eventually discovered on August 20, in a drainage ditch near an airport parking structure.

 THE MYSTERIOUS TEXT MESSAGES

The case became even more confusing after Goods disappeared.

Her relatives began receiving messages from her phone asking for help, gas money and Bitcoin. The requests immediately raised suspicion because family members said they did not sound like Goods.

Authorities have indicated that the messages may have come from unrelated individuals who gained access to or spoofed her phone information, rather than proving that Goods herself sent them.

CAUSE OF DEATH HAS NOT BEEN RELEASED

Despite the surveillance footage, investigators have not publicly disclosed Goods’ official cause or manner of death.
