Four Teens Accused of Stealing $220,000 Mercedes Before Fatal New Jersey Crash

Four teenagers are facing charges after police say they stole a 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon valued at approximately $220,000, leading to a lengthy police pursuit and a deadly crash in New Jersey.

The pursuit began at around 3:40 a.m. and reportedly continued for several hours. Authorities said the stolen G-Wagon traveled against traffic on Route 50 in Mays Landing before colliding head-on with a Hyundai.

Two people inside the Hyundai were killed in the crash. They were identified as Alice Stilwell, 67, and her longtime partner, Robert Barr Jr., 54.

Following the collision, the four suspects allegedly fled the scene but were later apprehended by authorities. One suspect was identified as 18-year-old Nayshaun Brown, while the other three are minors.

The charges filed in the case include joyriding, evading police, receiving a stolen vehicle, and conspiracy to commit aggravated assault.

The allegations against the teenagers have not been proven in court. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue examining the circumstances surrounding the vehicle theft, pursuit, and fatal collision.
