MISSING GRANDMA OF 5 FOUND IN LAS VEGAS DRAINAGE DITCH 12 DAYS LATER — POLICE REVEAL HAUNTING SURVEILLANCE VIDEO

LAS VEGAS — The disappearance of a 63-year-old New York grandmother took a heartbreaking turn after her body was discovered near a Las Vegas airport — 12 days after surveillance footage captured what police believe were her final moments.

Alisa Goods, a grandmother of five, had traveled to Las Vegas to visit a friend. On Aug. 8, she reportedly left the friend’s home to go shopping and stop at a CVS.

She never returned.

Now, newly released details are providing a disturbing timeline of what happened after she disappeared.

Goods was reported missing after she failed to return to her friend’s home and stopped responding to calls and messages.

Her family quickly became concerned.

But the situation became even more unsettling when relatives said someone appeared to be responding to messages from Goods’ phone.

According to her family, the person using the phone began requesting money and Bitcoin.

For her niece, Alana Calloway, the messages immediately felt wrong.

“It’s not her,” Calloway recalled thinking.

The messages raised fears that something far more serious had happened to Goods.

At the time, however, her whereabouts remained unknown.

THE SURVEILLANCE VIDEO

Police have now revealed what may be the most important clue in the case.

Airport surveillance footage reportedly showed a woman falling down an embankment on Aug. 8.

The woman then managed to get back up.

But moments later, she collapsed again.

According to police, there was no further movement observed after that.

Investigators later determined the woman was Goods.

The location where she fell could not be seen from the street, which helps explain why her body remained undiscovered for days despite the airport being a heavily traveled area.

Goods’ body was eventually found on Aug. 20 in a drainage ditch near Wayne Newton Boulevard and the Terminal 1 parking garage at Harry Reid International Airport.

Police have now revealed that a homeless man discovered the body and alerted parking attendants.

The attendants then contacted police.

Officers arrived and confirmed the woman was deceased before investigators identified her as Goods.

The discovery ended the family’s desperate search — but left them facing a painful new set of questions.

THE BIGGEST QUESTION REMAINS UNANSWERED

Despite the new surveillance details, authorities have not publicly released Goods’ cause of death.

That means investigators have not yet publicly established exactly what happened to her after she entered the embankment.

The available video appears to show her falling, standing back up and then collapsing.

But what caused the fall — and what happened afterward — remains unclear.

There has been no public determination that Goods was intentionally harmed, and officials have not announced that anyone has been charged in connection with her death.

“OUR HEARTS ARE BROKEN”

For Goods’ family, the discovery was devastating.

Calloway said relatives were notified that her aunt had been found, but not in the way they had hoped.

“Our hearts are broken,” she said in a statement.

The family thanked members of the public and the media for helping bring attention to the disappearance and asked for continued privacy as they try to understand what happened.

“We are still trying to learn the details surrounding her death,” Calloway said.

A FAMILY TRYING TO BRING HER HOME THE RIGHT WAY

Goods’ daughter, Kristen, has also launched a fundraiser to help cover funeral and related expenses.

The campaign had raised more than $17,000 as of Aug. 27, according to PEOPLE.

For a family that spent nearly two weeks hoping for a different outcome, the fundraiser is now helping them navigate the painful aftermath.

A TIMELINE THAT RAISES QUESTIONS

The timeline is now coming into sharper focus:

Aug. 8: Goods leaves her friend’s home in Las Vegas to shop and visit a CVS.

Later that day: She fails to return, and concerns about her whereabouts grow.

Aug. 8: Airport surveillance captures a woman falling down an embankment, getting back up and later collapsing.

After her disappearance: Family members report receiving suspicious messages from her phone requesting money and Bitcoin.

Aug. 20: A homeless man discovers her body in a drainage ditch near the Harry Reid International Airport parking garage.

Aug. 27: New details about the surveillance footage and discovery are publicly reported.

Yet one critical piece remains missing:

Why did Alisa Goods collapse — and what happened to her after she did?

THE INVESTIGATION CONTINUES

The newly revealed surveillance footage provides investigators with a potentially crucial sequence of events, but it does not answer every question surrounding Goods’ disappearance.

Her cause of death remains undisclosed.

Her family’s concerns about the messages from her phone have also not been publicly tied to a specific person.

For now, investigators must piece together the final hours of a woman who traveled to Las Vegas expecting a visit with a friend and instead became the subject of a days-long missing-person search.

Alisa Goods was a mother, a grandmother of five and a loved member of her family.

Now, her relatives are waiting for the answers that could finally explain how her final journey ended beside a Las Vegas airport.

And until those answers emerge, major questions remain surrounding the circumstances of her death.
