đ¨ NANCY GUTHRIE MYSTERY DEEPENS â RANSOM DEADLINE PASSES, BUT ONE QUESTION REMAINS
The clock ran out.
A second alleged ransom deadline connected to the disappearance of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie passed without the one thing her family desperately wanted:
Proof that Nancy was still alive.
Investigators had been told that an alleged ransom demand carried a final deadline of 5 p.m. on February 9.
That deadline came and went.
No confirmed proof of life was publicly released.
And then investigators uncovered something even more disturbing.
The FBI released surveillance images showing a masked person carrying a backpack and apparently wearing a handgun holster near Nancyâs home shortly before she disappeared.
The person appeared to tamper with the camera at her front door.
But despite the dramatic development, authorities said they had not identified a suspect or person of interest at that stage.
The investigation also expanded into new areas, with law enforcement pursuing what officials described as new leads.
At one point, a person was detained for questioning in Rio Rico, Arizona, and investigators conducted a court-authorized search of a nearby property. That person was later released.
Meanwhile, the FBI offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to Nancyâs recovery and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for her disappearance.
And one haunting question continues to hang over the case:
Who was that masked person at Nancyâs door?
Was it connected to her disappearance?
Was the ransom communication legitimate?
And most importantlyâŚ
Where is Nancy Guthrie?
Her family continues to wait for answers.
The investigation remains active.
And until Nancy is found, this case is far from over.
đ Someone knows what happened to Nancy.
đ If you know anything, speak up.
Nancy’s family is still waiting for her to come home.
