Dolly Parton’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star has been replaced after it was vandalized just days following the singer and country music icon’s death.

Rather than simply repairing the damaged surface, officials arranged for an entirely new star to be created and installed at the same location.

By September 5, the replacement star had been completed and reinstalled, allowing fans to once again visit the landmark and leave flowers, candles and other tributes in Parton’s memory.
